The sad part is that great majority of people are not nor will they ever be able to handle more than a couple hundred ponies. That's one of the reasons manufacturers install traction control, stability control, yaw control, abs, abd, and whatever else. Consider the MBZ 65. Without traction control and stability control people would kill themselves - that's per MBZ US spokesperson. The concerning side is that companies should patrol themselves and stop this power war before the gov't gets involved and cut into the fun. Remember Japan not too long ago had a "law" that stated no car should make more than a certain amout of power? Sure the market can bear these overpowered overpriced cars, but then there are the "conservatives" ( I call them idiots) who have to butt into everyone's life who sooner or later will tell the gov't that we need to limit horsepower.
